Masks and/or face coverings are required at all times in Salem Cinema other than when you're actively eating or drinking while safely seated in your auditorium. If it's not possible for you to wear a mask, we will continue to offer virtual screenings for your convenience. Thank you for understanding the need to keep you, our patrons and our staff safe and healthy.
Social distancing must be maintained at all times in the building, whether standing in line, using our restrooms or seated in an auditorium for your movie.
All three of our auditoriums will have reduced capacity seating.
All ticket sales will be online for the time being with a reserved seating system that allows for automated social distancing.
In addition to our already stellar cleaning practices, we will have enhanced cleaning procedures in place to ensure that high-touch surfaces are cleaned more often and auditoriums are thoroughly sanitized between shows. As a safety-control measure, we will be leaving the armrests up in all auditoriums. If you choose to use your armrest(s), please leave them down when your movie ends to indicate where extra, essential sanitizing may be necessary. You are welcome to also sanitize your armrests when pulling them down if it increases your comfort level.
Our HVAC system has been upgraded to the highest filtration standards consistent with CDC, state and local health guidance.
We will provide hand sanitizing stations throughout the building for your peace of mind.
Staff will be extremely cautious, wash their hands frequently and will also be required to wear masks at all times. They will have temperature checks prior to and following every shift.
We have added plexiglass partitions with a pass-through for your concession items for extra safety. Straws, napkins and other items formerly available as self-serve will be provided to you by the staff to limit shared contact.
We encourage you to exit the Majestic and Bijou auditoriums through the exits leading outside and to exit the south side of the building when leaving the Lumiere in order to avoid cross traffic.
As our bathrooms are small, we will be limiting the number of patrons allowed in the restroom at one time. We highly encourage you to use the restroom at home prior to attending your movie and/or following your movie instead of using public facilities.
Finally, if you're not feeling well, please stay home. If you are experiencing a fever, cough, shortness of breath, loss of taste or smell or have other symptoms that could be related to COVID-19, please wait until you are confident of your health and we will welcome you to join us in the future.
We are sorry if these extra steps feel different from your usual experience at Salem Cinema, but we are committed to keeping everyone safe. We count on each of you to partner with us as we all navigate these new procedures.
