Part-rockumentary, part-presidential portrait, JIMMY CARTER: ROCK & ROLL PRESIDENT traces how rock music helped propel Jimmy Carter to the White House, and the significant role that music has played in President Carter’s life and work. Featuring interviews with and the music of counterculture greats including the Allman Brothers, Bob Dylan, Willie Nelson and Jimmy Buffett, this film shows us a very personal side of one of our most caring presidents. With just enough political information of the times to remind us of the important role President Carter played in shaping our history and that of the world, but never too political to compromise the absolute joy of this film, this fascinating look at a very public yet private man will warm your heart on this cold winter's day. Please join us on this inauguration day to honor the life of a humble man, this man of great character, honesty, decency and integrity, this man who led from both his heart and his head... and to be reminded of what once was. Rest easy, President Carter, and thank you for your long life of true service.
